,.mPerhaps you used to play a brass instrument many moons ago or have recently started to learn a brass instrument but would like to play with other musicians in a band setting?

If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you!

MVSB has a term-time only Training Band that rehearse on a weekly basis at Ashcombe Secondary School, Dorking. They meet on a Monday evening from 5.50pm until 7.10pm and perform three annual term-time concerts for friends and family to showcase their talent. There is the potential to progress from our Training Band into MVSB, which a number of our members have done.

If you are aged 8-100+ would like to regularly rehearse with a friendly and welcoming band and develop your existing musical skill set then this is the band for you!

Our new terms dates for 2025 Summer term are as follows:

April: 28th 

May: 5th, 12th, 19th 

June: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th

July: 7th, 14th 

The training band will also be joining the main band for their Summer Concert. They will be playing a few pieces of music together on Sunday, 22nd June from 2.00pm at Bookham Village Hall in support of Bookham Community Association. Please see our events calendar for more information on tickets.
